Couples Therapy
Relationships add beauty and complexity to our lives. The challenge often lies in understanding and honoring ourselves while striving to understand and honor our partner. In our work together, I offer support, hope and insight to help you navigate conflicts and strengthen your intimacy.
In our sessions together I will gather information about your relationship and provide you with specific tools to:
- Deepen your friendship and respect for one another
- Develop empowering, healing patterns of communication
- Move toward a life of shared passion, goals and values
Whether you feel stuck, are recovering from a shared loss or life transition, or looking for a way to deepen your connection, I’m honored to meet with both of you. When I work with couples, my approach is rooted in the research and theoretical approaches of Dan Wile (Collaborative Couples’ Therapy) and Drs. John and Julie Gottman. I also use Emotion Focused Therapy for Couples, aspects of Imago therapy, family systems theory, narrative therapy and mindfulness.
